Welcome to the Mississippi Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).  The goal of the MS Chapter APDA is to provide key information and support to our Parkinson Community.  With the help of our APDA Information and Referral Center (I&R Center), we offer a network of support to the patient, caregiver, and health provider while supporting the efforts "to find a cure to ease the burden" of Parkinson's Disease.

Proceeds from the states 3nd Annual Parkinson's 5K “Moving Toward a Cure” will help sustain local programs to inform, assist, and educate individuals and families coping with the challenges of Parkinson's Disease and will contribute toward national research funded by the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA). The longtime mission of APDA is

"to ease the burden and find a cure."

The MS Chapter is affiliated with the APDA, the nation's "largest grassroots organization dedicated to fighting Parkinson's".  The MS Chapter is one of over 50 Chapters of the APDA is a non-profit organization established to improve the quality of the life for Mississippians and their families living with Parkinson's disease.  The MS Chapter's goals are to help fund special programs and raise funds  to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.  Some of these programs include: the Annual Parkinson Disease Conference, Young Onset Parkinson Disease (YOPD) Retreat, and “Moving Toward a Cure” as well as other fundraising programs.
